Sea Trial
ØDS offers more than 20 years of experience in sea trials performing necessary measurements to verify noise and vibration levels.
ØDS rely on extensive measurement equipment and experienced measurement engineers with in-depth knowledge of noise and vibration problems.
A typical sea trial measurement would include:
* Preparation of measurement programme (conditions, positions, etc.)
* Vibration measurement in selected accommodation areas, in machinery room, aft hull structure and wheel house area
* Noise measurements in selected accommodation areas, in machinery room, etc.
The above items are often extended with some of the items listed below:
* Vibration measurements on machinery
* Torsional vibration measurements on shafts
* Measurement of transmitted power through the shaft
* Pressure pulsation measurement above propeller (cavitation)
