Sea Trials

Lloyd's Register ODS has offered extensive experience in sea trial assistance for over 25 years.  Our independent service in marine sea trials allows our clients to establish a firm base for evaluating the fulfilment of regulatory and contractual requirements.  

The careful planning and development of a measurement program will form the basis of sea trial tests. Measurements are performed with handheld equipment for some projects or through the use of multi-channel equipment allowing for simultaneous measurements of many parameters for others.
For sea trials with complex programming and very tight scheduling, this type of facility is essential.

Sea trial measurement programs can be tailored to specific client needs to include various items and parameters including noise, vibration and machinery performance.

In case problems should occur, our experience enables troubleshooting to be initiated. We have developed a wide variety of software tools to analyze and mitigate problems identified during sea trial tests.
